12/9/18 - Mindfulness for Teens: Learn Powerful Techniques to Reduce Stress and Anxiety

In today’s world, teens must deal with an enormous amount of pressure to succeed academically, participate in a range of activities, and maintain a thriving social life. Competing demands on their time may leave them feeling overwhelmed, stressed, unfocused and anxious.  The good news? By learning the skills of mindfulness, teens can develop and strengthen the capacity for stress resilience.

Mindfulness is an evidence-based tool for reducing stress and anxiety and increasing happiness and feelings of calm.  By applying mindfulness practices, teens can change their relationship to stress by developing habits of mind that promote resiliency, focus, emotional balance and ease.

In this four-week class series, through discussion, reflection and guided meditation, teens will learn the foundational skills of mindfulness and complete activities in their Stress Reduction Workbook.
